Vancouver Island RABT Users' Group Meeting

The first (and possibly last, though hopefully not) meeting
of the VIRABTUG (Vancouver Island rec.arts.books.tolkien Users'
Group) was held on Sunday May 2, at 11:30am.

Venue: Solda's Family Restaurant, Port Alberni

Members attending:
- Aaron Clausen, representing the Port Alberni chapter
- Jamie Andrews, representing the London Ontario chapter (?!)

Length of meeting: about 2 hours

Topics discussed:
- Experiences of reading HoME
- JRRT's unusual writing process
- Interesting characters (e.g. Denethor and his sons)
- Flames, PJ, and MM
- Mars
- Others? (perhaps the other delegate can remind me)

A good time was had by all.

I particularly liked the aromatic coffee!!! Very fresh. No more than two
or three days old!

Glad to see you made it back in one piece. Also glad you didn't mention our
top secret plans to take over the wor.....
