This 1903 Cosmopolitan Monthly Magazine is in very good condition. It is the
monthly issue, March, 1903. The magazine measures 6 1/2 x 9 1/2 inches. It
has about 200 pages of articles and about 90 pages of advertisements.
Interesting articles include The Police Systems of Europe, Beauty of the
Woman at 50, The Young Napoleon, The Selection of a Home, Making a Choice of
a Profession - Insurance, Von Lenbach - The Man and Painter, and more. The
advertisements are just as interesting and include vintage automobile ads
with prices, train and automobile trips to exotic places like California,
various medications and treatments for deafness, rheumatism, stomach
ailments, brain enhancers, eye diseases, overweight clear skin treatments,
morphine - cocaine - opium cures, asthma, varicocele cures, hair loss
treatments, and more (many quack treatments). This is a very interesting,
fun, and informative book on an age long past.
The book is in very good condition with no loose, torn, or missing pages.
There are no pages with writing on them. The spine is tight and can easily
be read. The magazine cover is somewhat brittle at the edges and weak at the
spine, otherwise no other damage.
