As I recall he was basically a dead partially developed fetus, and the
Shi'ar brought him back. Well they were interested in Earth, maybe
they checked out his and Katherine's genetics, found his X-gene and
aged him till it did something.

The art is a bit inconsistent. Katherine Summers was not showing her
pregnancy, but when she was popped open, Gabriel seemed to be a fully
developed baby (or very near it). I wouldn't say he was either dead or
a partially-developed fetus.

Gabriel has definitely been artificially aged. This is kind of a plot
point at the moment: he's really about 15 years old and has energy
powers about on par with Sentry. Oh... and no detectable morals.

True, but I think morals are generally a learned trait. Vulcan never
learned any.

Do you guys think there is a chance of him going straight and joining
the x-men like good old days?? Im expecting a mega battle between him
and Scott. Albeit powerless i bet Cyclops is going to emotionally
reactivate his powers and send him flying and then Vulcan will come
back and so on and so forth....but man! what a battle that will be!

I think Vulcan is going to remain a villain for the time being. Even
the What If story where his team survived Krakoa Vulcan turned out to be
evil.

Seeing as Havok and Cyclops are immune to each others powers (can't remember
if they've tried them on Vulcan yet), powerlessness would make no
difference.
