This WWII Era US Army 3118th Signal Service Group Newspaper, titled (Hard
Times) is in very good condition. It was a weekly newspaper (overseas
edition) and is Volume II, No. 11 published in Frankford, Germany, dated
Saturday, February 9, 1946 for the Occupied Forces. It measures 12 inches x
17 inches. It is an 8-page newspaper and the major articles include
Captain Keisler Takes over as New Executive, All Furlough Quotas Cut,
Listing of 25 GI promotions, Personal soldier articles (T/4 Thomas Callan
communicates with family back home), Article on those GIs with 50 and 51

one across the horizontal and one across the vertical. It is in very good
condition. It has no holes, and has the beginnings of a tear (1 inch long)
at the horizontal crease. The paper can be handled pretty easy without fear
of crumbling or tearing. This is a great addition to any grouping featuring
European theatre allied occupation
