WWII Era US Army 508th Military Police Battalion Newspaper
This WWII Era US Army 508th Military Police Battalion Newspaper, titled (The
Blotter) is in very good condition. It was a weekly newspaper (overseas
edition) and is Volume 1, No. 2 published in Munich, Germany, dated Friday,
January 25, 1946 for the Occupied Forces. It measures 12 inches x 16 inches.
It is a 4-page newspaper and the major articles include Pfc. Hunt Commended
by General Truscott, Your Battalion (From San Antonio to Munich), article on
37 percent of Battalion to go home by April 30, Winning the Peace of a
Defeated Germany, articles on Battalion sports, local events and festivals,
religious services/locations, and more. The newspaper has two folds, one
across the horizontal and one across the vertical. It is in very good
condition. It has a small hole at the center crease (1/2 inch x ¼ inch),
but no other damage, rips, or tears. The paper can be handled pretty easy
without fear of crumbling or tearing. This is a great addition to any
grouping featuring European theatre allied occupation
