The Wainriders were informally known as "heels on wheels". The Olog-hai were
also known as "Olga's People". And the Brandybuck family had a cadet branch
called the Winehouses. Their most prominent member was Amy Winehouse.

The incursions of the Wainriders were greatly facilitated by
the extensive Wagenbahn network built by the Khandische Reich
as a military asset in aid of their plans to seize Lebensraum
("living room") in the East.

This became literally true in the Battle of Saurongrad, in which
they had to fight for each living room, kitchen and parlour in
the ruins of the city.

However, the military planners overlooked the fact that wains could
travel westwards on the Wagenbahnen just as easily as eastwards.
