And, I forgot to add, those are the first times Switzerland and Italy
have won those respective HCA awards. However, they have won the
opposite awards before - see below.

HCA Award for Writing: 1970 Gianni Rodari (Italy)

HCA Award for Illustration: 1966 Alois Carigiet (Switzerland, "A
Bell for Ursli" - but my favorite is "The Snowstorm") and 1994 Jörg
Müller (Switzerland, "The Bear Who Wanted to Be a Bear")

The 2008 medals will be presented at the official ceremony in
September.

The next HCA Awards will be in 2010.
