Butterworth, (1932). First edition. Illustrated with a frontis
photograph of the author (in a painting smock) and a few cartoons.
Papers and essays on events in the author's life. 319, (1) pp. in brown
buckram, circular blind-stamped designs on both covers, printed in gilt
on cover and spine. Moderate wear, some darkening around the edges of
the boards, darkened and dust-soiled edges, a line of red ink on the
bottom edge resembling what today would be called a remainder mark,
light offsetting inside the covers, slight foxing on the title page.
Still, a very good copy. $250.00 U.S.
