Got the following info from a message board:

http://www.newsarama.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=16627

"When the panel was asked for their reaction to Wolverine being an Avenger,
Chris Claremont was notably surprised, physically pushing away his
microphone and throwing his arms up in a shocked gesture, which suggested
the Uncanny X-Men and Excalibur scribe was not aware of the news."

And of course he'll continue appearing in all three X-men books,
Wolverine, guesting in New X-men.

And he'll turn up in all of the other Avengers' solo books.

I guess it's fair. Everyone is going to be in his book after Millar and
Romita Jr take over.

How about forever...I'm so sick of Wolverine I'd be happy never to see
him anywhere ever again...and as if he weren't already taking over all
the x books anyway we have to have a "Wolverine month"...every month
is Wolverine month, this is ridiculous.<!-- ~MESSAGE_AFTER~ -->

They did, but they didn't tell us. For a while, it was a Skrull
impostor posing as Wolverine.
