Ok, call me stupid or what ever, but read the book and thoroughly enjoyed
it. But, I've got to ask this question, after finishing the second story
about The Dominion, I got lost, or missed something, Taran'atar, the
Jem'Hadar that Odo sent to DS9 to "watch" everything, well, he goes and sees
the female changeling. Ok, no problem there, but he decides to break her
out, ok, kills everyone, ok, then he gets to the runabout, Kira tells him to
take the changeling back, she says kill her, ok, got that. He kills her.
Then jump forward to him going back to DS9, he trashes his place and Kira's
there. What's going on here!!! Did I miss something or is she dead or is
she the changeling? I'm really confused. Can anyone help me out!!!!

You missed the fact that it was a dream sequence, intended to show two
things:
1) how his physical situation is even worse than he imagined. Not
only does he have to sleep like the weak Alpha Quadrant people, but he
also *dreams*
2) to show the conflict he is feeling because of his confusion about
the mission Odo gave to him.
When Kira was killed in this sequence, I had already been spoiled
about it, so I was pissed. Not at her "death," but because it was so
matter of fact, not dramatic at all. I couldn't believe it would have
happened in the middle of the story, either.
Then, when I found it was a dream, I was relieved.

Sorry about that, never posted a question about a story before. Tell ya
what, I must have been sleeping too, cause I didn't catch it at all!!
Remember about him sleeping, but never caught on to him dreaming. Might
have to reread some of it again to see if I can find it. Thanks,
Joe
