Spoilers for WotC and The Regulators perhaps

While discussing the end of WotC with a friend who just completed reading it
I started to think about the wolves being spider man robots who wave
lightsabers and use snitches from harry potter (which they call sneetches, a
Dr Seuss reference) and it occurred to me... does this all sound terribly
similiar to the motokops in the regulators or what? the one difference being
those are totally fictional characters that dont exist (even as fictional
characters) in our world, while the things the wolves are made of are
"real".otherwise the concept seems to be the same, doesnt it? now is this a
connection of some sort or is king just reusing the idea?
