Writer of societal satire seeking a publisher for present and future novels
(as listed on website www.DougKen.com ).

FIRST SUCCESS:
My book PLEASANTOPIA (of Nov.07) sold 120 copies in four months, in my town
Pleasanton, resulting in interviews by local newspaper publications VALLEY
TIMES (Nov07) and PLEASANTON WEEKLY (31Oct08).

The proprietor of TOWNE CENTER BOOKS, Pleasanton, who is also a publisher's
Rep., has strongly urged me to get a literary agent and publisher.

STYLE:
My style is uniquely zany and clever, challenging readers' minds with
societal satire and providing non-stop entertainment with outrageous comedy,
adult innuendo, lampoons of the rich and famous, and creative wordplay.

PROMOTION SO FAR:
Latest books AMERICA'S REIGNING CATS & DOGS!
and AMERICA'S BACKSIDE were reviewed and accepted by sales management at
both local BORDERS and BARNES AND NOBLE bookstores, with BORDERS hosting an
author event Nov.8th 2008.

I am presently paying iUniverse to perform limited promotion of AMERICA'S
REIGNING CATS AND DOGS! ELECTION 2008.

GOALS:
My writing goal is to produce at least one book per year, and to appeal to
the broadest over-18 audience worldwide. I wrote three books in 2008, out
of 13 novels so far.

Am also interested in serialization of these novels and my daily piece JUDGE
RETORT, a spoof of the daily news on DRUDGEREPORT.com

PRESENT SELF-PUBLICATION:
So far, all are self-published through iUniverse, with contractual agreement
allowing change to a legitimate publisher anytime.
