Something that struck me recently... Shouldn't the X-Men have been
able to figure out, or at least guess, what happened to Xavier at the
end of Messiah Complex?
Xavier's body disappears right in front of their eyes. Around the
same time, Exodus and the Acolytes have vanished. The Acolytes, who
have a time manipulating member. Even if no one had bothered to keep
track of the Acolytes (which would be pretty stupid considering they'd
just been at war,) the dual disappearance should have sent up a red
flag.
Readers couldn't, but readers weren't given adequate information.
The Acolytes were barely shown in the last chapter. It wasn't even
entirely clear that Xavier had actually vanished, due to their being
no reaction on the last panel where he was missing.
Heck, readers were outright given inaccurate information. From the
artwork, the pool of blood under Xavier vanished along with his body.
I seriously doubt Exodus had the Acolytes scrub down the crime scene. >> Stay informed about: Xavier's disappearance (X-Men Legacy Spoiler) |

I sorted of assumed that the artist merely forgot to draw him in some panels
because none of the other characters seem to notice his disappearance.

Me too. I thought it was artist error as well.
