Wow, newsgroups. This is ancient technology!
I'm Beth and I've been daydreaming in Gwynedd for quite some time, ever
since I read about the Deryni in an issue of Dragon magazine when I was a
teen. I decided to hook up with the community because a character I've
been tossing around since those days has finally asserted herself enough
to warrant a story. Wink So I've been working hard on history and
language to be able to tell her tale in a lucid and rational manner, and
not appear to be too much of a pretender! I'm finding out how interesting
it can be when a character just sort of takes off and becomes something
completely different than you thought she'd be.

Anyway, Julianne had graciously sent me submission guidelines for the
'Archives and I guess I'm just "screwing myself up," as Frodo would say,
to actually send it in. Wink

regards,
Beth

Hello and Welcome, Beth. =o)

It's both disconcerting and exciting when a character starts telling YOU
what they're really like rather than taking orders from on high, so to
speak. I encourage you to go ahead and submit your story when it's ready.
I can assure you, story submissions to Deryni Archives is a lot less epic a
task than destroying the One Ring. (No orcs, no Shelob, no giant flaming
eyeballs, etc etc.)
