New book - from a new Anne Rice Fan

Somebody needs to ask this question or one like it once a month to keep

Actually, after Interview with the Vampire there was The Vampire Lestat,
this is Lestat's life story that he writes in reaction to Louis's story.
After Queen, the next book is Tale of the Body Thief, then Memnoch the
Devil (or Drivel according to some people's opinion of the book). If you
go to www.annerice.com, I believe there is a listing of all the Vampire
Chronicles in the order of their publication. Many people feel that the
VC took a nose-dive after Memnoch as most of the books that followed it
are extended rehashments of what the reader finds out in earlier books
ie: The Vampire Armand is an extended rehashment of what you read in The
Vampire Lestat and Interview with the Vampire, Blood and Gold is an
extended rehashment of what you read in The Vampire Lestat.
I thought that Blackwood Farm, the second to the last VC, was very good
and that Rice had returned to her former (and wonderful) style of
writing, but the last book, Blood Canticle, was god-awful. Take care,
