Dear Clive Barker fans:
Do enjoy reading about private eye Harry D'Amour's battles with
demonic evil? If so, then there's a good chance you'll really like
the terrifying new novel THE HADES PROJECT by Justin Gustainis.
Of course I'm kind of prejudiced about that – my name's Justin
Gustainis.
In the book, a team of scientists accidentally opens, just for an
instant, the doorway to Hell. That's long enough for a demon to cross
over, take "possession" of one of the scientists, and use him to
slaughter the others. Not long afterward, federal agent Michael
Pacilio is on the trail of a uniquely vicious serial killer, who has
left a string of mutilated corpses all over the eastern U.S.
Eventually, Pacilio learns enough to suspect that he may be in pursuit
of something that is not quite human.
And then things get REALLY weird.
The pre-publication reviews have been quite positive. Jim Butcher,
creator of the "Dresden Files" series, says, "THE HADES PROJECT is an
engrossing, tightly plotted page-turner of a book . . . a harsh, stark
vision of the deadly pursuit of a killer guided by the hand of true
Evil."
Martha C. Lawrence, author of the Elizabeth Chase psychic investigator
series, says, "If you can look straight into Hell without blinking,
you're going to love THE HADES PROJECT. . . . This is paranormal noir
at its finest."
Stoker-winning author John Passarella says "THE HADES PROJECT is a
demonic joyride of murder and mayhem. . . . an adrenaline-filled
concoction sure to delight true horror fans."
And Teri Davis, in her "5-star" review of the book for the website
"Murder on the Woo-Woo Express," says, "Mr. Gustainis has written an
outstanding thriller that will keep you up all night . . . makes THE
EXORCIST look like a simple fairy tale."
