ok lessee.
Charles Freeman book - interesting in parts; didn't tell me anything
large I didn't already know, but filled in details. Only really
interesting if you're into the history of christianity etc.
Reading the new Bill Bryson by dipping in and out in between other stuff.
So far he hasn't told me anything I didn't know, but he said it
amusingly, would recommend it.
Read the new Jasper FForde. Thought it was trifle slow and self-indulgent
at the beginning, then realized that my expectations were at fault, and
when it really got under way I thoroughly enjoyed it. Going to read it
again soon without prejudice. Recommend it to anyone with sense of the
ridiculous.
Got The Tournament, which was recommended here yesterday, not started it
yet as still have the Roger Zelazny to read.
Getting sloshed at the mo (well what are you supposed to do with the rest
of the bottle when you've put the wine into the chicken in tomato and
white wine sauce?)
