HELP! Anybody know what the books are? - Rookie in the fantasy world. I came across these 3 novels in another language, although all the names, places sound English, and follows generally nature of elves, demon, and magic. I am wondering whether anybody ever read..

The Books: ever new - I first read LotR in 1960 when no one had ever heard of it. But they are ever new. I just reread "The Council of in my first edition and found three typos! Tsar

I've read LOTR 3 times, The Silmarillion twice, Unfinished Tales, are there
any other books you recommend? I'm all out of books! just finished 'Douglas
Adams - The Long Dark Tea-Time of the Soul' which was crazy
What do you recommend?

Hmm. I was never very fond of "Sourcery", actually, and while I enjoy
"Mort" a lot I would almost suggest that it's probably better to read
it after getting a few glimpses of Death in other Discworld books
first (which isn't hard).

I wonder if anyone out there has a "Custom Pratchett Book List"? Smile

P.S. I always like to plug one of my own favorite fantasy novels in
threads like this: _Dragonsbane_, by Barbara Hambly. I won't write a
full review here, but it's an interesting take on clssic heroic
stories. It's serious, not satire, so it doesn't fit directly with
this subthread, but it's very good.
