Well, she's not the youngest author around, so it wasn't the gravest mistake
to make. I guess half of our schoolgoing youths think she's a fossil already
anyway, and they're Dutch. And yeah... Dutch is a really hard language to
translate when it comes to books... I've done it with a short novel once and
it's more like re-writing than translating. Holding on to the essence of the
words is really hard. Somehow translating from English to Dutch is much
easier: English is more expressive/flexible for some reason, so it gives you
more to work with.
