I'm just saying there are better things to spend your money on. If you're not
going to spend it on something you like or need, you should give to charity.

I'd say you'reignorant

I think people should give to charity, but they can do as they please. It's
their ungiving sould that's going to nevermind. Anyway, my point was: One,
people should giving. Two, why waste your money on something you don't like?
Spend on something you like or need, or better yet charity.
>That's like saying, "Eat your food. Children are starving in Africa."
My little brother, who is 10, knows that means. The food, in this case,
represents money. It means doesn't waste your money, their are people in
someplaces who don't have a penny. Just like don't waste your food, they are
people who don't have any.
>Does
>not compute.
Hmmm... I bet a lot of things don't compute with you.

Why does everyone have that weird feeling they have read a book that just came
out now? It's like you can't wait for it to go into the library so you don't
have to pay for it? Most of the books I've read, have been written like decades
before I've read them. IWT,TVL, and QOTD were all like written before I born.
Some books are classics and can be read any time, and multiple times. Maybe
people rush out to buy books and read them NOW because they know they won't
like them and want to get them out of the way.

I say you have no right, nor are you invited to tell anyone what they should or
shouldn't do. It's an incredible waste of time. Do what you think YOU should
do.
I agree with your intentions, and can give an example of something which
happened to us this week.
Our in ground pool pump motor went bye bye. After my husband and I were
bitching and moaning about it I said, holy shit, can you believe what our big
problems is? OUR FUCKING POOL IS BROKEN! Then I added, if that's our problem,
everyone should have our problems.
So, charity is a personal experience.<!-- ~MESSAGE_AFTER~ --> >> Stay informed about: rice;s new books.. what do you think about it ? |

I'm not telling anyone anything. I'm suggesting they do that. I feel bad the
rare breed of good doers are almost gone. Since when is it the most horrible
thing in the world to tell people to do a good thing? And further more when is
it a horrible thing to suggest things to people without people thinking you're
some sort of dictator?

Hmmm... after reading your story about how you WISH their was no problems in
the world for anyone bigger than a broken pool, I think you are very
charitable. I mean considering you didn't give a penny to the needy, donate a
can of food, nor did you vulnteer your time. Yes, you are a charitable person.
Julie who is not telling people to do anything. Just suggesting.<!-- ~MESSAGE_AFTER~ --> >> Stay informed about: rice;s new books.. what do you think about it ? |

This is the case for me. Anne is one of the few authors that has gained
true loyalty from me. Her works have inspired me so much that even if
some of her books do not have the same impact or potency as her earlier
works, I will always buy her books, and read them with the same fervor
as when I first entered her marvelous world.<!-- ~MESSAGE_AFTER~ --> >> Stay informed about: rice;s new books.. what do you think about it ? |
