Lenona apparently thinks this group is her private blog and has
destroyed it with 1000's of off-topic spam posts.
Shame on her.

It's better than a lot of others come up with. Why do people complain
about Lenona and not that M15 freak?

And why don't I ever see the complainers' names on on topic posts?

The only real rule there is for getting posts/conversation on topic
you are interested in is to try to start threads yourself.

Admittedly I'm not that great at starting threads - the last I posted
I think was a discussion of the latest books from Robin McKinley and
Peter Dickinson (and no one responded) - but good grief! contribute
or chill, people!

Brought that up before, on other groups--
Graveyard Girl thinks she's "doing us a favor" because the "traffic was
so low"...

We'll TAKE "low traffic", as long as it's not posters obsessively
talking to their own posts.

Many people complain about MI5 - so many, in fact, that lately his
posts are no longer being propagated by his server.
Lenona, OTOH, keeps spamming RABC with off-topic and marginally on-
topic posts.
Not content with making one post per day containing all her spam, she
has flooded this group with nonsense for years now.
She should get her own blog and spare us all the blather but she
refuses, thinking she's doing the group "a favor".

Killfiles aren't an option for those of us who use Google Groups.
In any event, the ability to killfile a spammer like Lenona in no way
excuses her outrageous behavior.

And I'd be only too happy to see at least four threads per day from
OTHER people. If only certain complainers weren't too lazy to make the
effort.

BTW, while even Kris Baker doesn't call my birthday announcements
spam, I will say that on average, I only post an average of two of
those every three days, so RF's complaint that I start more than one
such thread per day is clearly a gross exaggeration.

Good Lord woman, if you are going to lie, don't lie about something
that can be so easily disproved by something as simple as taking a
look at your posts in Google Groups!
You make several posts PER DAY!!!
And you STILL haven't come up with a reasonable answer as to why you
don't start your own blog or at least combine all your spam into 1
weekly post.

Hi Everyone!

I love the information that Lenona posts to this list. It is informative,
relevent, and helps keep me in the know. I can appreciate that not
*everyone* on the list would be interested (just as I'm not interested in
Harry Potter discussions for example)--but there is a simple remedy for
those who are not interested in the info called the delete button.

So, keep up the good work Lenona, and don't let the negative comments get
you down. I do appreciate your posts.

Best wishes,

Anita

Gentle readers (pun intended) -- have any of you considered using
a killfile?

As for the M15 spam, even after he morphed his subject lines and
posting ID, I never saw it. There are clever ways of using a
killfile that don't interfere with the regular, wanted postings to
a group.

Learn to read. And count. I was referring to BIRTHDAY announcement
THREADS, not posts.

BTW, while the obits are relatively rare, other people seem to respond
to those more than anything else, so I don't know why you'd want THOSE
removed.

Or why, as I suspect, you don't want threads about anything else from
me, such as my recent ID questions.

BTW, I would hope some people appreciate the anecdotes I manage to dig
up on occasion, such as the one about Berneice Rabe in her birthday
thread.

Lenona.

Gee, how about dig up more "Animated specials from 1973?" without any
other remote discussion context, as the other groups are groaning over?

A k00k is a k00k is a k00k. No matter where you find them, how often,
or what they talk about.

That was not the header I used. Any cartoons I mention here are based
on old fairy tales. So what's your point?

Name one such groaner from a film or animation group. Besides you or
RF.

In the meantime, as I've said before, I appreciate your wit when you
actually bother to start an on-topic thread, so why don't you?

Lenona.
