That's pretty good coming from the queen of the off-topic post, the
sultana of spam!

Let's change the name of this group to bashing members instead of
discussing books.

Kill files are available for google groups.
Just google "google groups killfile" - you'll need Firefox with the
Greasemonkey add-in, but it's simple and effective.
There are a few add ins for Internet Explorer as well, but I haven't
used them so can't comment on their effectiveness.

FYIW, leona's post are on-topic enough that they don't bother me.
Also, the traffic on the group is so low it's kinda nice just to see
someone posting.

I'd rather see low traffic than spam traffic.
Lenona refuses to combine her posts into one per day (one a week would
be even better) and she many of her posts are completely off-topic.

I second that.

There's no rules as to how one should post on any public newsgroup,
and I'd suggest most people would find leona's posts generally on-
topic.
The current page 1 from google groups shows posts on topic only -
a few author's birthdays (one has a reply, suggesting that others do
read these)
a couple of obits
a couple of YASIDs
some general (book related) topics - Golden Books, awards etc.

Grab a copy of the killfile. That way you can hide the topics / users
you don't like, and not have to worry about what others are posting Smile
I lurk on plenty of groups with some extraordinarily prolific
spammers, but since I installed the killfile this is no longer a
problem. That's just how groups tend to work.

They use newsreaders that automatically filter crossposts and/or realize
that he's annoying for a medical reason?
