When i read through these posts and see the name Terry Pratchett appear in a
reply maybe some of you could tell me if its the man himself reading the
posts and adding his tuppenceworth or someone pretending to be him??.
Oh...and as for a previous post where he states most coppers come from
working class backgrounds?? Has he checked out the Met lately?? bloody
graduates as far as the eye can see...pretty soon there wont be anyone left
to pound a beat. Two years probation then promotion...no wonder the force
(sorry service) is in the state its in now. >> Stay informed about: Is it him?? |

Yeah, it's him. A ringer good enough to fool abp and afp for years on end
would be smarter to stop fooling around and start writing his (or her) own
books.

I'm a student from a working class background currently studying at
University
and planning to join the police once I've graduated. I hope to be able to
make
a positive difference to the world (or at least a little corner of it).
Being from a working class background does not preclude you from being a
graduate and being a graduate does not preclude you from being a good
copper.
Sam Vimes is a shining example to us all.<!-- ~MESSAGE_AFTER~ --> >> Stay informed about: Is it him?? |

Also, if it was an imposter, the real Pterry's decision to mention ppint in
Hogfather would be quite a strange one.

Well, it's the same bloke who signed my books, 'cos he recognised my name, so I
certainly *hope* it's the real one...
