I'll pass on the nastiness--I can get irate enough
just thinking of someone who sends "ebombs" while
claiming to be religious. Extra hugs and warm thought
for you--I'll even pass the warmth from the heartburn
at the thought of pepper-infused bread:-)

We get people like that woman sometimes at
work--usually in person rather than e-mail. We talk
it over and then generally figure out that whoever it
was was having "one of those days" and the library
staff made an easy dumping ground for the current load
of nastiness. Nastiness by e-mail seems every worse,
almost pre-meditated nastiness. Sometimes I think
there should be a delay key for emotionally charged
e-mails---something to make you double check an hour
later before you hit send. That's one of the problems
of e-mail, type and send and ooops! I just did
something very stupid.

We've been talking churches about the house recently.
Partially because of the wedding and we've come to the
conclusion that the problem with churches is the
people. The ideals of Christianity are so fine, but
the majority of us who are trying to live the
principles are all too human. We fail and the
churches get the blame for people being people.

But I've better get myself in gear--got to find a
place to make color copies and then buy some
embroidery floss for another project. It's hard to
believe with all the floss lying about the house but
I've got absolutely no matches for the next project
and I've got to get the bibs started before the baby
gets to talking and walking:-)

You should come visit me. I have the complete DMC set (except the new
overdyed colors) 4 times over, approximately.

I do write those emails. I just save 'em as a draft until I've gotten
the aggro out of my system. Then I delete them. Until then, every
time I get aggravated again, I just add to the email. Saves me a lot
of foot in mouth disease, as I also get the nastiness out and don't
spill it on the person who aggravated me. Her aggravation was that
she wanted a dress code, I didn't, so I voted with my feet--and I am
the most faithful so far as getting myself to both practices and on
Sunday morning. This annoyed her. Too bad for her.

And there is no help for people being people, but one can try, at
least. She did not, IMO. And declared that she would read no more of
my emails, presumably so she could get the last word. Then, my
husband got the email on his computer here at home...he was not
amused at all.

Dress code! For Pete's sake--unless there's a real
problem with what someone is wearing it's unneccessary
and if there is a problem, why punish everyone for one
person's bad taste. Object of church choir, praise in
song--is that being done? Mission accomplished. A
friend's choir did a tour of Italy and there was a
dress code for that, just so everyone would look like
they belonged together. Every now & then we get a
quick mention in the homily about "appropriate
clothing"--makes one wonder what people are showing up
in. We tend to do the 7:30AM mass, mostly middle aged
folk & older, but on occasion I've seen sundresses
that looked like they belonged on "one of those
beaches".

I suggest a useful anonymiser into which you could type a response if you
wanted. She's not going to know that you sent it, if it's not obviously
from your email address. Not before she has read to the end and reached
the signature, anyhow.

<evil grin>

Come to that, *my* email thingy allows me to alter the 'from' address if I
feel I have to, though of course she then can't reply to it. The same
applies to a spare gmail or hotmail account, to which she could reply but
you could pretend not to have received it...

What, me, make trouble? *Never*!

Have another TS?

Enh, I think at this point, I have rid myself of the majority of
aggro. That said, Sunday is coming. And she does not like scenes.
Neither do I--mostly...But /fx, ever-an-ever-so-sweetly/ I really do
think I should warn her that my husband is gunning for her, yes? /
end fx/ Just the thought of her scuttling for cover does my mind good.

Plus, right now, I have good behavior on my side, which counts for a
lot in my mind.

> <evil grin>

Shall we do our evil grins together? Not to mention our best
villainous laughs...

I learned how to bounce email back. I even bounced the nastygram back
to her-I lost count, it was either three or four times. <evil grin>
Hope she reads it and realizes how rude it was.

> What, me, make trouble? *Never*!

No more would I! <snigger> but getting an email from a stranger who
obviously knows all and despises it would totally floor her. Although
that might leave the church short an organist...so perhaps not.

> Have another TS?

Ought to go very well with the rum cake I had at husband's work's
Christmas Party. Delicious stuff, that.

Sure. The regular chain of take-aways ("A new choice in traditional
cuisine! Chicken Tikka Masala Pizza our world-famed speciality!")
stopped trading of late, so I have plenty of Pizza Base Mix capacity.

(I'm not proid; it sells.)

At the risk of sounding like I should be posting in Another NG, would that
be the special Dwarf Pizza Base Mix (rat not included)?

As for the skinny lad with the very sharp faming implement, I'm hoping he
right and he is WAAAAAAY too early...
Mind you, I'm selfish. I don't want anyone to drop off the edge.

Well, ALMOST anyone.
Au Res.,
Smug Paul (finished the last dregs of the Christmas shopping list today -
the vast majority of it having been obtained throughout the year, something
I always say I'll do but never actually achieve, I actually achieved this
year, with only a few little filler gifts to get, so I was more-or-less at a
loose end and felt somewhat like the chap in the Argos catalogue, bemusedly
looking on as everyone else stampeded into the shops. I am currently
looking forward to the works Ladies 'do' Monday night - I've been invited as
Honorary Girlie and regular participant in the 'Friday is Choccy Day'
group.)
