THEN... I fell back to sleep, and dreamed another weird one:
I was riding with Brother Dave through the southside of Shadowville...
we had two women with us, redneck beauties [sort of Springer types but
nothing really far out, just basic Columbus girls] I told him to stop
the car, and I walked over to this sort of huge old building and found
it was a club owned by Donny Osmond! Turns out he'd recently moved to
Shadowville and was keen on exploiting the local talents!
Spent a long time talking and getting involved with his plans. He'd
heard of me, and had stacks of the local paper I write the column for
on his bar...
I kept saying I hadda go, but he kept talking music biz stuff, and
including me in on the plans. I told him me & Henry had written a song
that would be great for his comeback... not sure which but I guess the
"Dark Queen Song"!!! ***chuckle***;
Black Eagle Lady. (E,G & F)
Lady's walking down South Seale Road,
I hope she get there soon.
Lady's walking down South Seale Road,
I hope she get there soon.
She sees the flashing dollar signs,
under a pale green moon.
Blame it on silk sheets and a silver blanket,
or a valentine I did not buy.
Blame it on silk sheets or a silver blanket,
or a valentine I did not buy.
I don't know her touch,
and I still don't know why.
Her hair, black as a crow,
be careful, though, stones she throws.
Her hair, black as a crow,
be careful, though, stones she throws.
Teeth like a timberworlf, that's me,
spirit of the eagle, she's free.
Ev'ry little word you speak,
my good sweet friend.
Ev'ry little word you speak,
my good sweet friend.
It comes straight through
from your mind to my mind,
clear across that dirty river.
Lady's walking down South Seale Road,
I hope she get there soon.

I hope she get there soon.
She sees flashing dollar signs,
underneath a pale green moon.
-Will Dockery (for the Dark Queen) (c)2002
I told him my favorite part of his career was when he was with Marie
and they did the duets "Lil Bit Cuntry" and such, and that "One Bad
Apple" was as good as anything Michael Jackson ever did... he liked
that and didn't expect it coming from me.
I knew Brother Dave and the trailer chicks would be furious... or have
left me, so I finally said goodbye. Donnie walked me out, and there
were two Sherrif's Deputies on the balcony sneering and giggling. I
started down the steps and could hear them telling Osmond about the
guy in the white truck they were [this went into mumbles]
I turned and shouted: "You Basyards! You better not have hurt my
brother!"
And started yelling for him... I saw movement down in the truck, and
he got out and waved at me. The trailer chicks were long gone and
Brother Dave was relieved I was alive... he'd flagged the Sherrif's
Deputies down for help, and was pissed that all they did was
disrespect him and stuff.
Then he ran around in a deep muddy ditch like the one that used to be
in front of the house here before they widened the street, that we
used to run in when it flooded in the 1960s... red clay and brown mud,
a mud dance.
