The tavern of the Ogre, Elf, Imp and Urchin, while running on
automatic due to the diligence of the simian work-force, seems
rather... empty, without the proprieters.

But tonight, for some reason, there's a sense of presence in the
room. The denizens look up from the chocolate hot tubs, their
discourse on various events of the day, their various autho-holic
drinks and wonder, what's different?

Someone finally notices the bar-tender. For months, the
simulcrum had done his duty, creating the drinks and keeping
things running. Personality was absent and it was most
definitely a phantom person doing the duty. But today...

....he winks.

If you're thinking of Harry A. (sometimes known as Amethyst) in
alt.callahans -- that's not *our* Amethyst.
She's the elf who's married to Tristaan.

The bartender finishes wiping the glass he's holding and grins at
the old timer.

"Heyla! Thanks! Actually, Amethyst has been extremely busy with
the kidlets. We've got one in first grade and one at 4 years
old. And BOTH keep her on her toes. Charis is reading, in first
grade, at a 4th grade reading level and her teacher is having
trouble keeping her in books."

Tristaan (reminds me of a certain young ogre some years ago....)

Charis is 6 and in first grade, reading up a storm. Like her
daddy, her favorite subject is math... go fig.

Talia is 4 and absolutely cute as a button. She's a bit...
odd... sometimes, but then, look at her parents. Smile

I've thought of y'all frequently. Life is... well, life. I've
kept the beastie BARELY at bay, but he's been keeping me away. I
can't say how often I'll be posting, but I'll at least try to pop
