I'm still trying to wrap my head around the notion of muse fantasy,
but I can summarize the others:

circular fantasy - a "there and back again" story, e.g., Wizard of Oz.
The Narnia stories are this type, until the kids die in the Last
Battle.

broken fantasy - an "it was all a dream" story, e.g., Alice in
Wonderland. To me, it seems that many "broken" fantasies are also
"circular" fantasies.

open fantasy - in which the fantastic exists alongside & intertwined
with our real world, e.g., Pinnochio. I would NOT classify Narnia as
an "open fantasy", even though Aslan tells the Pevensies that he has a
name in their own world.

closed fantasy - in which the fantasy world is completely cut off from
our world, e.g., Lord of the Rings. Goldthwaite doesn't have much use
for this type of fantasy, and is particularly skeptical of Christian
authors who create such works.

I'm sure there are many stories that don't fall completely into any
single category.

If you do remember, pls let me know so I can correct mine. Mine was a hasty
remake after I lost the first version, so I'm probably wrong and you're
probably right.

It took awhile, but I have finally tumbled to the realization that
Rosemary / Bree and Rosemary Lake are the same person... I'll send a
list of differences after re-perusing our respective pages. There was
nothing really major, IIRC.
