How do find the value of this set of antique books?

I found a local dealer who is selling a set of 8 books titled
"Shakespeare's Plays and Poems" edited by John Payne Collier in 1844.
I've haven't been able to find much on the web, how can I find a
approximate value for this set?

Shakespeare is just _too_ commonplace to be worth much. An attractively
bound one that's a complete set of the plays, in good condition and not
a Bowdlerised text can fetch a lot more. But in general don't expect
much for Shakespeare - or other massively popular writers in the
period.
