Ok, I know that this isn't like finding a Gutenburg under grandma's bed. But...
On Ebay got for $36 a first of "Rosemary's Baby" and "The Exorcist" which are
two books I have been looking for to add to my mystery/suspense/horror personal
first editions collection. Of course, I have to see the books to determine that
they meet all of the points the seller states that they do, but assuming that
ponts/condition are met, I'll be very happy.

You do know that The Exorcist is a trickey title, right? That the printing
history line is at the bottom of the About the Author page at the very back of
the book?<!-- ~MESSAGE_AFTER~ -->

My understanding is that the printing line is in the gutter of the last page.
The seller states he confirmed all of the points; if he didn't he'll be getting
the book back. Thanks for the input.
