I finished the foundation 5 + prelude + forward. What should be next on my
list? Are there any other foundation/psychohistory books? From what I
understand, the next bit either deal with Daneel or are set in the empire,
but otherwise have little to do with the foundation stories. Is this true?

You could try the so-called "2nd Foundation trilogy" (written after
Asimov's death by the "killer-B's":
Foundation's Fear by Gregory Benford
Foundation and Chaos by Greg Bear
Foundation's Triumph by David Brin

but for those it helps if you have read the so-called Empire novels
(The Stars, Like Dust - The Currents of Space & Pebble in the Sky) first
as some events refer back to those books.

But go to
<a style='text-decoration: underline;' href="http://www.asimovonline.com" target="_blank">www.asimovonline.com</a>
and check the info there yourself (especially Johnny Pez's insanely complete
list, which lists just about everything ever written with a relation to the
Foundation universe).

You could try the "Robot" Novels, which are:

The Caves of Steel
The Robots of Dawn
The Naked Sun
Robots and Empire.....

These deal with the break out into the Galaxy of mankind and the story of
the Spacers. They feature one of Asimov's greatest characters - Elijah Baley
and also introduce R Daneel Olivaw. There are some interesting common
themes, i.e. Caves of Steel in the Cities are much like the vision of
Trantor.....

Enjoy

Allen
