Anything posted here is copyrighted; this is a physically time-bound
electronic little magazine, not a chat room.
It (rec.arts.poems) has already got a larger circulation base than
most paper littles, and a longer shelf life than any (save maybe the
contributor's copy, which since 1982 has no more copyright authority
than his original manuscript).

It wasn't you being witty, then? I wasted a compliment? Anyway, so it's not
a total washout: my favorite Oscar Levantism (it's on his Wiki page) is when
Jack Paar asked Oscar what he thought about Milton Berle's converting from
Judaism to Christian Science, and Oscar said "Our loss is their loss".

Just now from my window I saw a 12- or 13-yr-old girl, maybe 15 (who can
tell?) after getting off her school bus, hurry and crouch behind a large
clump of bushes. In truth, that's when I noticed, from the movement about 60
yards away. She threw down her bookbag/backpack and opened it quickly. I was
ready to call 911 -- she could have been a pscho lying in wait for an
ambush. But what she did was remove a longsleeve crew top (sky blue) from
her bag, take off her fleece jacket, and pull the top on to cover her scanty
tank top, presumably for when she would enter her home, then she looked
around to see if anyone had noticed, and left. >> Stay informed about: Why Dockery? |
