Some telepathy and telekinesis, some growing up and becoming independent,
and a lot of trying to figure out who you are. Sira, the heroine, has had

Congratulations!
As you said in another reply to a reply (?) you wish they had offered it
when you were their age. Ditto.
The concept of 'special ed' applying to faster learners was new when I
started high school (grad class of 1978). They did not have Advanced
Placement or Honors courses per se, with the possibility of grades
greater than 100%.
I was lucky, I was allowed to start chemistry one year early by going to
an early-bird class by 'special permission'. I was lucky because the
teacher who had to sign the permission, I knew from church; I did not
meet the prerequisites but he said 'Give me the form, you'll do fine',
and I did!

It can actually stop hurting as bad most of the time and even with lower
frequency though it still will sneak up on you and hit you hard at
unexpected times....like when you really want to sit and have a confab
with the lost one.
So to steal Lady Anne's method........

Knowing what I know now about my Mom and her ministerial work, as
I come across challenging thoughts and perspectives in my
seminarial study, I wish I could bounce those thoughts off
Mom...she was very much in the thick of changing mindsets and
such in the Mennonite church and I wish I had her perspective on
some of the things I'm running into.

still WAY to big for me to fill....)

Yeah, wouldn't it be nice, now that the big decisions and ideas are
here, to be able to get their advice/thoughts/outlook. There are times
I'd like to ask Daddy, "Have you ever seen this....." situation to see
if he understood it better than me. He was always really easy to get
along with for everybody so people could talk to him and so he really
had a terrific understanding of people. Not bad for a man with a grade
5 education! (school burnt down, in the early 1920's, and definitely
NOT walking distance to the next nearest! My dad was oooollldddd.)

But the neat thing is that we are all different and what we think of as
nothing special because it's so easy to do, is harder for someone else
so they admire us for it. And vice versa. And I bet your mom admired
things about you that she couldn't do easily as well.

Hi Anne!
Yes, I'm still sort of around here... if I ever have time to do
much reading on the internet, anyway... >> Stay informed about: Hello {waves} |

I understand the problem, even if I don't share it right. now. {Smile} I
hope Usenet at least loads quicker than LiveJournal for you. It's enough
older a system, I'd think it ought to most of the time. {cross left-hand
