Post subject: The future of the mystery novel
Archived from groups: alt>books>mysteries (more info?)

Interactive Fiction is the convergence of technology and books creating
a rich experience of prose that involves the reader directly. Not to be
confused with e-books, Interactive Fiction demands direct involvement of
the reader who decides how the story develops.

In Greystone, an Interactive Fiction mystery, you are the detective who
must explore the sprawling grounds of a mental hospital searching for
the killer. You and you alone decide what clues are important, which
witnesses to question and ultimately which suspect to arrest. The story
unfolds in response to your own actions.
