My ISP's usenet server had some sort of collapse some weeks past.
From little evidence I've seen it looks like someones got into the .control
group and issued cancellation commands for all existing groups.

Naturally nobody in tech support had any idea what a usenet server IS, so
i've had to wait and hope, and now finally the alt. groups are starting to
show up.

Nobody in tech support knew what Usenet was?
