Pretty much how they're being handled right now, except Austen's way in X-MEN.
Ask a vague question, get a vague response.

Ooooh, this is a fun question
1) I'd focus more on life at the mansion. With the current inhabitants, there
is just SO much story potential.
2) Being hated and feared by humanity won't be such a big thing.
3) More correlation with the 'outside' world. For example, Jane Foster would be
on speed dial, in case they need extra medical help. And Stark Security brand
monitors.
4) More Wolfsbane, of course.
5) Bring back Moria McTaggart.
6) Kill Maggot.
7) Salem Center and how it's changed since the X-Men came out

He deserves it. How did he die? Did his pets eat his head? I hope so.

Damn shame, in my opinion. I rather liked the bugger, and whatever else you
could say about him, he at least had an oringinal mutantion.

TWO CORE GROUP BOOKS PER MONTH. PERIOD.
WOLVERINE THE ONLY SOLO BOOK.
UNLIMITED XMEN COMES OUT QUARTERLY.
ASSORTED SOLO MINI-SERIES.
I will take the financial hit. There's way way too much glut right now.

Agreed. Weapon X's rationale for killing him had to be a WTF moment, imo, as
well.

Um, I've seemed to have spelled original and mutation with one to many n's.
Oh, and I hated the way they had Marrow killing D'Gard, as well. That one
was truly pointless.

I'd say they could get away with 4 core team books (one for each week of the
month, but not all titled X-Men (X-Factor, X-Force, Excalibur, New
Mutants... something besides just another X-Men), like it was in the late
80's/early 90's) with Wolverine only appearing in one of them, and his own
solo series. X-Men Unlimited should be quarterly, and should be the place
where those assorted mini-series stories are told. and that's all.
Ultimate X-Men, of course, doing its thing off in its own world, as it does
already.<!-- ~MESSAGE_AFTER~ --> >> Stay informed about: How would you handle the XMen? |

Like the movie, the 'school' would, indeed, be a school. It wouldn't have
it's own book. None of the teachers would be regulars outside cameos.
Totational alternates perhaps, but not regulars. Unlike the movie, not all
the X-Men would be teachers. The students would remains largely unnamed
extras. However, that decision of 'stay and protect the kids' or 'leave to
protect the kids' would hang there.
The team in an international one. Or at least, it was. Bring some of that
back for a globehopping team as book #2.
Wolverine keeps his own book. Despite wanting him with the international
team, he needs to keep the public interested, and is the most popular of
characters.
The last book would be in the same venue as Marvel Team-Up. A monthly that
rotates characters, and often guesting non-X characters. It would allow some
character building of one or two outside the group environment that tends to
define them.1 to 3 issue arcs that can involve any X-character, from either
team, or not currently attatched.<!-- ~MESSAGE_AFTER~ --> >> Stay informed about: How would you handle the XMen? |
