Over the last few weeks I have begun to reread all of the Feist books. At
this time I am up to Rage of a Demon King and the one burning question I
have is Where is Boldar Blood? I know he got Miranda out of Novindus and
back to Elvandar in Rise of a Merchant Prince and there are a few lines in
Rage but that seems to be it.

I know I should wait until I finish the series to ask this question but I am
too impatient.

On a side note it is a great treat to read all the books in a row. It seems
that I forgot a lot of what happens in the books and it has been years since
I have opened up a few of these books. Hell this is only the second reading
Silverthorn I had forgotten how amazing it was.

Boldar went back to the Hall of Worlds. He's one of the many
near-imortal denizens of the Hall. He was mentioned in my short story,
Profit and the Grey Assassin, published all the way back in 1982. I
don't know why the character amuses me so much--I wrote very little
about him, but I think it's because when I created him, I did so in a
weird mood, imagining one of the deadliest assassin/bodyguards in the
Hall as looking like Opie from the Andy Grifith Show. Never did
anything with him after Rage.

Thanks.

I never reread my stuff, but once in a while I have to go back and
reread a passage of something for continuity purposes and I find myself
thinking, "This wasn't so bad."

You have to understand, that after writing, rewriting, copy-edit, and
galleys, I am pretty sick of a book when I'm doine with it. One
except, perhaps because the entire process was very compressed, is King
of Foxes, my newest, which I like quite a bit.

Best, R.E.F.

Ray,

Is there any way we can get hold of this/these short stories? I've
never seen or heard of them and I'd like a chance to read them.

--BTW, Talon was great. Any chance your probs with _Jimmy the Hand_,
etc. will be resolved soon? I'd really like to get hold of those as well.

Keep writing Ray!

Profit and the Grey Assassin was published in Fantasy Book Quarterly in
1982. Check out <a style='text-decoration: underline;' href="http://www.crydee.com" target="_blank">www.crydee.com</a> and see if John has ny any of them left
for sale. If I get around to doing a single author collection, I'll
probably include that one, as it was my first published piece.

I should know something after the 1st of the year.

Until then, you can order them from Amazon.co.uk.
