Can you help me figure out what these books are?

This is a long shot, buuuttttt...

There are several books I have not read in a long time that I am trying to find. I only have vague descriptions, so I know it's frustrating, but maybe you can help...

First book:

A young boy finds a pair of sunglasses on a field trip to a local natural landmark, and the sunglasses have the power to make anything he says true. The few stand-out detail I remember are:

1. The sunglasses get warm when he makes things happen.

2. He makes 2+2 equal 3.

3. He makes a girl he likes find a diamond in her coke.

4. Near the end, he screams 'Stop' and time stops.

Another book:

In this book, there is a young man who is told he is some kind of magic person, a la The Sorcerer's Apprentice. What I remember:

1. He travels through time.

2. He sees humans near the end of time, and they have evolved with photosynthesis.

3. When he gets to the end of time, he meets Time, an older man, and his sister, Death. red shift and blue shift are discussed.

Last book:

This one has something to do with Atlantis, and Cambodian mythology. Also, Vile Vertices are subject matter.

1. There are a couple of psychic characters.

2. the psychic ability is explained as an evolutionary necessity left over from the time before humans had language.

3. The Khmer Rouge and other Cambodian mythos are used.

All these books are fiction novels, and I know that these are very unhelpful descriptions, but if anytihing rings a slight bell I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks.
