Well, I found it in "Timequake" (p. 56 I think it was) but I am
certain this is not the first time Vonnegut told us of his sister
having said this. I am guessing it must be in one of the
autobiographical non-fiction works above, but I've still not found it
there yet.
The exact quote (as in Timequake) is:
