I read it long enough back that I can't really remember much detail --
except that I did enjoy it and will definitely read the next
installment. Due in Oct.

<g> I thought it was good, too. Just read it a month or so ago.

I find it interesting, in ML's collaborations, to track how "strongly"
her influence shows up in the final product. Strong influence in
"Outstretched Shadow", considerably less so in "Shadow of the Lion"
(which I also read very recently). It is not always the case that a
book ML co-authors is as good or better than what she can write alone,
and I'd put both "Outstretched" and "Shadow" in the "as good or
better" category.

(Sorry for lumping them both together, but I read them practically one
after the other.)

I finally ordered "Joust" and received it in the mail today, along
with one of my adolescence favourites "The Ordinary Princess" by M.M.
Kaye. Great turn around on the old fairy tale of the beautiful
youngest princess.

However, I promised myself I won't read "Joust" until I finished my
paper, so hopefully that is incentive enough for me to finally just
sit down and finish the paper *wry smile*.

I have already reread "The Ordinary Princess", because it's such a
short and yet uplifting read.

<blink> Since when has having discussed something stopped us from
discussing it again? Just start a thread about the parts you want to
discuss, and don't be surprised when it's evolved into duelling shortcake
recipes. <chuckle, REALLY BIG GRIN>

You were majorly distracted by a move? <innocent look>

So which parts did you like/dislike/want to discuss the most? <BIG

And what did you think of that? <BIG SMILE, REALLY BIG GRIN>
