Post subject: Is this an ex-library?
Archived from groups: rec>collecting>books (more info?)

I acquired a 1st edition copy of Deadlier Than the Male by James Gunn, 1st
edition with dust jacket, published in 1942 by Duell, Sloan and Pearce, Inc.
I am wondering if I have some sort of ex-library copy. The dust jacket is in
very good condition with a slightly visible quarter inch tape shadow along
the top and bottom edge, not price clipped. There are slight tape remnants
on the interior of the boards and a stamp on the front free endpaper that
says "The Millington, 322 8o. Columbus Ave." However there are no card
pockets or other stamps. Is this perhaps a hotel library copy?

Thanks in advance, AL
