In the book merrick while talking about matthew twice she refers to
michael. I have reviewed the pages and could not find any michael.

I haven't yet read the book (so why am I replying to this...?) but I seem
to recall hearing about an inconsistancy in one of her books, and this rings
a bell. She may be referring to the same person.

Someone else could likely clarify this.

In that book there is a character whose name starts out as Matthew,
changes to Michael in a chapter or two (can't remember), and then
changes back to Matthew. It's one of the pitfalls of an author who
thinks she's above needing an editor.
