musical sleuth

A few weeks ago, I saw a relatively new book mentioned that featured a
femail musician/sleuth, and took place in the LA music business. I remember
reading some good things and wanted to check it out, but now cannot find any
mention of it. If anyone knows the name of the book or author, I'd
appreciate it.
