The sweet fragrance of roses,

The song birds delight,

The touch of your hand in mine,

These are things of true beauty,

For they will stand the test of time.



Your eyes, I see sparkle

Will they know me? In time?

My heart kindled, emblazing,

Bright, burning forest pine.



A wish was regret, before I met you,

Am I not happy with life's design?

I see now error,

A wish is for better.

My wish?

Our happiness entwined



And my wish, my thoughts-

One day you'll be mine,

For the every thought of you, I cherish,

You're always on my mind.

The Key

The key's hidden by misconstrued

Her locked hearts' key -long eluded,

Escapes my collar and securing

Love's sought while uncover enduring



This key hunt -an undertaking

Have I past the point of breaking?

How much longer her forsaking,

And my task at hand remaining?



Yet the key I'll assuredly recover

Sought after until I slumber

To unlock her heart! Her wonder!

"I'll find the key to her heart" I utter



My own heart has quite quit beating

'Til the day of our hearts meeting

And now suddenly I do see

Giving my heart is the key.
