For anyone interested in post-Beat/ independent poetry, news is that one of
the best poets in the field, t.kilgore splake, has a new book out. It's
called "Being-Non-Being-Becoming," and it's available now from splake's own
Vertin Press at thevertinpress RemoveThis @pasty.com .splake (the lower case is
intentional) is an ex-college professor who took early retirement to go and
write poetry inspired by Brautigan and Bukowski in the Yooper State,
Michigan. He's been at it for more than two decades now and the poems are
getting better and better.
