"A Little Princess" - 1905 release date? - I've been combing two or three of Frances Hodgson Burnett and I can't find a specific release date for A.L.P. I realize, of course, that came out in the 1880s and became a play in 1902, but I believe the novel was released in 1905..

ID edition of "Emperor's New Clothes"? - I THINK this is the one by Virginia Lee Burton (you can't look at more than the cover in Amazon), but I'm not sure. The pictures reminded me of Rococo paintings - similar colors, wigs, etc. - and the story had been adapted for very young..

Hey all! I'm sorry I've been MIA for the last month or so; my news
reader has been down.

Anyway, there's a new issue of Notes at www.windowsill.net/13.1.html
and a bunch of new bibliographies on the home page.

Also, a bibliography of adoption/orphan stories at
www.windowsill.net/orphans.html. This is one of my favorite genres
and I had a lot of fun putting it together
