Post subject: Question about reading order.
Archived from groups: alt>books>raymond-feist (more info?)

Hi people. I have a small question about the reading order. So far, I've
read Magician, Silverthorn and Darkness at Sethanon. Two weeks ago, I
got three of the Serpent War books (got as in, someone gave 'em to me)
so I'm wandering how to continue. I googled a bit and I'm pretty sure
it's best to read Prince of the Blood and The Kings Buccaneer before
continuing with the Serpent War books.

However, I'm not sure about Empire and Krondor books. Didn't dig too
deep to avoid nasty spoilers, so I may have missed a post or two though.
Smile Basically, I'm wondering whether I'll want to read either/both the
Empire books and the Krondor books before continuing with Prince of the
Blood.

I'm a bit short on cash, so it would be convenient to put both series
off till I've read what I have, but if it'll somehow ruin a bunch of
books through serious spoilers I'll just have to practice my patience a
bit. Thanks in advance,

Sjoerd

I would suggest that you read the books in published order. But if you can
only get one book before starting the Serpent War saga you must read The
Kings Buccaneer. This book is a precursor to the entire Serpent War Saga.
IMO Prince of the Blood is more of a Stand alone book but it dose give you
introductions to some of the series best characters, anybody want an orange?

I have not picked up the Empire books yet and for the life of me I can not
think of a reason why.

You can Read the Krondor books in published order as they where published
after the Serpent war.

Can find the Publishing and the Reading order here:
<a style='text-decoration: underline;' href="http://www.crydee.com/feist/refindex.htm" target="_blank">http://www.crydee.com/feist/refindex.htm</a>

Think it is suggested to read in the published order, but I read the
first few in published order and then read in Chronilogical order
and don't recall any disappointment from spoilers.

Would highly, highly, highly recommend the Empire series!!! Smile

A long time ago some folks from this ng came up with a fantastic FAQ.
Anyone have this stored away somewhere? Would love to read it again, and
have it for reference...
