Ok, well, time to update the FAQ...

So after all of this discussion of other books, etc... the question
remains... IS Da'rian a Healing Adept or just a Healing Master at the
end of the trilogy?

He is a Master at the end(?) of the Trilogy. He had passed the
Master's test in that book. He has Healing Adept potential, but hadn't
made it to that level by OwlKnight. Rumour (read: rumour 4 - 5 years
ago that there was going to be a 4th book in that series.

I thought the were about as readable as LotR. But MUCH more readable

So the equation is deriving you up a wall?
Aaron, really! It's me! I just updated ubuntu (logged in and let it
update itself, actually) and decided to get abml up to date here while I

Hmmm... Since I am in the middle of a reread of the series (the whole
series), IIRC, it goes like this; lowest level are the
weather-witch/worker/wise-women/hedge-wizard/apprentices. They and
journeymen are on all internally generated magic energies. Masters can
use ley-lines but not nodes. Masters can be "keyed" into a heartstone
but generally aren't without a supervising adept. Adepts can use all
the previous levels along with node/heartstone energies. Healing adepts
can "cleanse" magic energies to make the stagnant/wild energies
non-threatening to non-mages. Darian has the potential to become a
healing adept but cannot be adequately tested due to the low levels of
magic energies available due to the events at the end of "Storm
Breaking" where the group at Urtho's Tower deals with the last wave of
the Mage Storms.
