I've made a good discovery - an eraser that easily removes adhesive. Works
like a charm!
It's made by Xyron, and is called an "adhesive eraser." Though it's made to
be used with Xyron's own adhesive systems, the package says that it "strips
most adhesive residues," and I've found that to be the case. It works very
well for removing price-sticker & other adhesive residue from dustjackets.
It is so much easier than using lighter fluid or goo-gone (though for really
stubborn adhesives those are indispensible).
It's a rubbery, textured thing, about 2" square and a quarter-inch thick,
the package says it's acid-free.
Xyron's website is at
www.xyron.com. Their website doesn't mention the
erasers, but I'd guess that anyplace that sold the adhesive systems they
make would sell the erasers. Their "find a store" page is at
http://www.xyron.com/support_wherepurchase.php. I think some craft stores
also carry Xyron products.
I bought my eraser at Paper Zone here in Seattle - they also have stores
elsewhere in Washington, and a few in Oregon & California
cheers ~
Denise
