Post subject: Which reprints are collectible?
Archived from groups: rec>collecting>books (more info?)

I'm hoping some of the veterans of this group are lurking, even though
they are not posting very often, as I have a question that requires
some experience and expertise...so, Mike, Jon, Scot, Bud, Bob,
Lawrence, Jerry, Kris, and all the old gang...

Last week, I saw a hardback reprint of Harlan Coben's "Drop
Shot" (originally in paperback, 1998) and thought of JDM's Travis
McGee series, reprinted in hardback after they became so popular.
Those are now sought after and usually sell for more than a hundred
dollars. Do you think it worthwhile to lay back a copy or two of the
titles being reprinted?

And what about Randy Wayne White and the new paperbacks of the Dusty
MacMorgan series, originally written by "Randy Striker"? I know he
finally managed to regain the rights and they are now out under his
name but will they be collectible?

Any and all opinions welcome...
