With the saturation of reality TV, I gave up and started re-reading the
whole Riftwar series and I think my fave exchange for the moment is:

Martin: "If the gwali can get up there, we should be able."

Roald: "Beggin' your Grace's pardon, but do you think you could swing
through the trees like them, too?"

Everytime I think of that line I crack up laughing....makes me look forward
to other great exchanges and of course: Nakor.

Not just reality TV, TV broadcasts on a whole have just gone downhill. But
then, if these show's didn't get the ratings, they wouldn't be on
(reflection of society!!). Anyways, I just finished my second reading, and
am ANXIOUSLY awaiting Exiles Return. I think it's ridiculous that I'll have
to (yet again) order the book via Amazon UK versus getting it here in the
states (unless I wait a few months... YA RIGHT).

Big snip of relative Coolness ratings .....

Just for the record, I read The Hobbit in 1968 and LOTR in 1969.
( I discovered Tolkien well before my teens ).

Now this *is* more like it. A discussion of comparable Mages.

Now in the Red Corner we have "Gandalf The Grey"

And introducing, in the Blue Corner, "Nakor The Blue Rider".
